Over the pond of Salt…
Monday, May 8th, 2006So I am leaving for France Tomorrow and when traveling overseas there are only a few things one should remember. Few and far, but important…
1… being one of the more important things to know: not all hard boiled eggs are in fact completely hard boiled in the land of Holland. Be careful where you peal your shell because it may in fact explode looking like something else exploded all over you.
If you don’t understand me… bummer, but I will give you a clue and only one clue… think of what an almost hard boiled egg may in fact look like
2… when traveling to Italy know the big cities: so when you land in Canada and have to find another airline and a nice guy or girl, if it is a girl, but for me it was a guy, asks you where you are going and you, being me, says “Italy” and he says “Rome” and you say no “Italy” and he says “Yes, Rome” and again you say “No Italy” and he says “Here let me see your ticket”… at that point in time he is thinking “Not so smart one Rome is in Italy where are you going?”
I was going to Milan, not Rome and yes they are both in Italy
3… Don’t forget your passport. I haven’t done this, but it would be a bummer to forget it and not get to pond jump over the salt. Maybe that should be number 1 cause if this happened then you wouldn’t have to worry about any of the other ones. Alright three seems like enough… but if you are going to ride your bike don’t forget your bike. If you are playing ping pong don’t forget your ping pong racket.
Great Job to my teammates racing here and there all over the US of A in Alabama and New Mexico. It would be best to go to www.victorycycling.com to see race reports cause that would be a great idea.
Off to Lude Load L’Aude is Lauren, Grace, Lara, Kathryn, and me. If there is someone else I am not sure, but if so I will let you know when I know.
Team TT is the first day and after that we go up up up up and down down and up up up some more most days.
If we have internet I will report and if not I will not be able to report.
I am off to run around town most of the day getting stuff I need and doing stuff I need to do. But not really running because I wouldn’t be able to move for a week if I did that.
To running, but not really running
