Back on the right side…

jumpfrog.gifNot that the left side is the wrong side, I am just saying I am back on the right side of the road. I was actually sleeping on the right hand side of the bed in Bermuda to make sure I remember what it was like… oh yes, even while the wind was a blowin’ and a blowin’ at mock 100 miles an hour and the rains were coming down sideways…

We made it through the hurricane… it was actaully only a Cat. 1 and although to be a Cat. 1 in cycling is top notch coolness a Cat. 1 hurricane is not top notch, but cool. I am not saying that if you are not a Cat. 1 you are not top notch because you are. Anyways, the winds were strong enough to blow are electricity out and phone lines, but the roof of the house stayed right where it was… thank goodness. We played lots of games like Scrabble (my favorite because I am such a spectacular speller), uno, clue, monoply, and some others I can’t remember what they were called. I heard there was some wind tunnel experiments going on, on the other side of the island by Tim Johnson. I wish I would have thought of that… that could have been fun. I have never been able to get much air jumping with my bike and with winds like that I bet I could have gotten some sweet air. Oh well, theres always next year…

So after the storm was all fin-e-toed we headed back to the states where Katharine, Janelle, and I got to sleep in the Newwork (something like that) airport, but didn’t really sleep at all… We were dropped off at 1am and tried to lay on Kats bike bag, without a bike, to get some sleep. It was kinda like sleeping in snow with elevator music playing in the sun…

BUT, at about 6am I advanced inside security where there was carpet on the ground and man was that ever so much better…

Now I am in Campbellton, New Bruinswick with Phil, but not quit yet because he is racing in Tye-begga. I managed to sleep 12 hours last night due and now it is time to get dressed for the day. Then later I am going to be helping with cross country practice… I hope I get a whistle to blow.

Pictures soon, but I am not sure who soon because my teammates have to send them.

Until then I hope you have some cool pictures to look at…

:)Chrissy

ps… it was like snow because it is cold sleeping on fake tile, And the sun was out, but not at all, because it was so nice and bright in there. Altough I have to admit it would be kinda scary to be in the airport with no lights on…
