Watch out for the bug…

Saturday, November 18th, 2006

jumpfrog.gifThere really are not to many bugs out right now seeing how it has cooled down here in Oregon, but I surely had one last week AND a big one it was…

The stomach bug to be exact and it was busy making sure it hurt quit a bit. I am not sure how it was able to stay down there for so long… I guess it had some strong legs because nothing else would. Yeah I agree gross to say the least…

So as soon as I think I am going to be able to get a full week of training in the bug comes and visits… I am happy to say it is no longer visiting. Not that I am usually happy when a visitor leaves, just this one.

Other then laying on the couch all of last week I didn’t do much except drink some pop and watch TV, oh yes daytime TV…

And then today was the first day out and about on my bike since the flu bug left and it was just exceptionally super duper mainly because I didn’t overdress to the extreme, only minorly…

What out for the bugs,

:)Chrissy

Some more of this and that…

jumpfrog.gifYou know it is really hard to get a post up when your frog wants to keep going on vacation. He hasn’t been around the past couple posts and I just couldn’t write another one until he was ready to start hoping again. Everyone needs a bit of an off season, including Mr. Jump jump….

So since last time when I fell through the house and broke some ribs I have been up to this and that all of which has been just spendid and super duper…

Most of this and that includes helping lay chalk lines at work, visiting Kele in Seattle, going up north of the boarder to Canada for Phil’s mud racing nationals, and laying low so I don’t fall off anything again…

Oh yes the snow has hit Bend too which only means one thing… time to start making snowmen and angles…

AND…

When the snow hits

Phil Shoveling Phil has to clear an area for Kiley to try to take off when flying…

BUT…

IMGP4697.JPG Instead Kiley realizes she is not a bird so watches Braxton sticks out his tongue at her

Then there was last weekend on our way to Canada where Phil and I stopped by Kele’s place…

IMGP4605.JPG no really we did… this is her house (It, being the stopped, was fun!!!!! Good times :) )

AND

we took a

IMGP4607.JPG Ferry across the water and

Saw

IMGP4613.JPG

AND then

Phil slipped and slide in the mud but before that he…

IMGP4627.JPG got a flat tire and had to walk back to the car…

Then

IMGP4636.JPG Lyne and Wendy ran up some stairs…

and IMGP4638.JPG around a sweet BMX course where

IMGP4640.JPG there were bumps to get sweet air off of… (yeah, I didn’t bring a bike but if you run as fast as you can and then jump in the air right at the tops of the jumps it is pretty much the same feeling)

and this is where I watch the men race…

IMGP4657.JPG in the pits… where water and soap sud fights occur (for any race who wonders what really goes on in the pits)

Other then that, thats all

Have a good time…

Circus practice…

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

In the recent days I have been thinking about becoming a tight rope walker high in the sky like the circus people do all around the world. I am not to worried and haven’t given it a lot of thought, but since I was thinking I thought this may be a good career choice after I am finished cycling. And since I was thinking this I thought I better start preparing now…

Well lucky for me I am working on building a house, or actually a duplex, and there are a lot of beams to walk all over. Actually if you carry a 2 by 4 or even a long 2 by 6 (yep, I know the difference now) it is like one of those long sticks the circus people sometime carry along the tight ropes.

Everything was going as planned and practice was progressing nicely until today…

It happened pretty much like this…

walking, balancing, walking… wam bam… on my back arm up in the air, one leg through the hole and another leg on top looking like a split formation a cheerleader may do, but the only problem is I am not a cheerleader (although sometimes confused with one) and cannot do the splits in any way shape or form so this simi form was all wrong…

Anyways practice is now set back for a few days because I can hardly breath and my ribs, shoulder blade, leg and knee hurt like the dickens and the dickens hurt pretty bad…

Oh well… Here are some pictures of building…

Building and building A bunch of wood that will be standing in an upright position soon…

IMGP4584.JPG The beams I was practicing on…

So we got a floor lade on that today which was another factor delaying beam practice, but the floor was put on the wrong direction so we get to put it on again tomorrow over the floor we put down today…. which means one thing really, if you are looking to build a house and would like and extra thick floor please email me or give me a ring… I can pretty much garentee it

We will have the thickest floor in all of Bend…

But a few days ago Phil and I went riding at Smith Rocks for a change of pace and this is what it looked like…

Phil and I at Smith Rocks Us taking a picture of us

view at Smith Rocks The view of rocks and trees from this angle and then

rocks at smith rocks more rocks and trees from this angle..

AND

climber on the rocks This person (could be a girl or a guy, therefore named person) climbing high near the sky on the picture right above this one

Alrighty, that is all for now I have to go figure out when I will be able to continue with my balance beam practice…

:)Chrissy

ps… Joe Lion showed me how to actually work the pictures to make them larger so if you are tired of stealing your grandparents glasses, just click away on them and it should work great… THANKS JOE
